For the 2008 funding cycle, the LOIs will be used for planning purposes only. The LOIs will not be evaluated for scientific or technical merit. Every investigator who submits a correctly prepared LOI by the January 18, 2008, deadline, may submit a full grant application. Applicants are encourage to begin working on their application as soon as their LOI has been submitted.

What is the application due date?

An original and six collated copies of your full grant application must be submitted to your respective association by 5:00 p.m. EST on March 14, 2008. Please note that applications submitted in response to Potential Extramural Projects (Research) should be prepared using the PHS 398 grant application. Applications submitted in response to the Potential Extramural Projects (Non-Research) and that are Investigator Initiated should be prepared using the PHS 5161 grant application. Please contact your association representative to find out about any special requirements not posted on this site.

Does the amount of funding include direct and indirect costs?
